With this pattern, you can make rounded barn toe for a toe-up sock. The pattern works for almost any yarn and stitch count. Increases are worked on sides of the sock so the increase lines will be visible. The first half of the increases are made each round while the second half is worked every other round. Just enter the total amount of stitches you wish to have for your sock and you’ll get the instructions for the increases. sts on my needles rows / 4” (10cm).
Pattern
This pattern is written for the magic loop method but can be adjusted to dpns.
Length of the toe will be 1.8’’ (4.5cm).
CO 8 sts on each needle. You should now have a total of 16 sts.
You can use for instance Judy’s Magic Cast On or Turkish Cast On method.
K one round.
ROUND 1:
Needle 1: k1, k1fb, k to 2 sts from end, k1fb, k1.
Needle 2: Work the same way as Needle 1.
Repeat round 1 a total of 3 times. You should now have a total of 28 sts.
ROUND 2:
Needle 1: k all
Needle 2: Work the same way as Needle 1.
Repeat rounds 2 & 1 a total of 7 times. You should now have a total of 56 sts.
The toe is now finished.

CO = Cast on
k = knit
kfb = knit into front of the stitch, leave stitch on the needle and knit into the back of the same stitch (=increase 1 st).
