This is a cute and quick knit. The pattern is suitable for beginner level knitters.
This hat is knitted bottom-up in the round and it has a folded brim. Sizes: from newborn to 24 months.
Yarn
Fingering weight merino wool without pom pom approximately:
Red: 89-144 yds (81-132 m)
White: 39-77 yds (36-71 m).
In addition I used 15 yds (14m) for the pompom.
Sample hats are knitted with Novita Baby merino (approximately 251 yards (230 meters) / 50g) in colorways cherry (588) and white (011). You need one 50g skein of each color.
Other good yarn options from lovecrafts.com: Lang Yarns Merino 200 Bebe or Cascade Heritage Solids
