Simple Two Color Bind-Off Method for Double Knitting

A while ago I made a short tutorial of how to make an alternating color cast on edge. If you wish to have similar look for your cast off edge see the tutorial video below.

I use this method for binding off my double knitting projects but you can use it to other projects as well. Just take color two when binding off and instead of purling every other stitch knit them all.

  1. That looks really nice, but I can’t figure out what on earth you did with that second stitch. The captions say “purl with colour 2” but that’s not like any purl stitch I’ve ever seen. Can you break it down? Thanks!

    1. Hi Deb! The purl on the video is the so-called Norwegian purl. I was taught to purl that way in school. However, you can do the purl whichever way you are used to 🙂 -Ida
