With this pattern you can make round toe for a cuff-down sock. The pattern works for almost any yarn and stitch count. Just enter the total amount of stitches you have on your needles as well as your row gauge and you’ll get the pattern as well as instructions when to start the toe decreases.
Toe-up version of this pattern you can find here.

I have using this pattern for several months now. I like the look and feel of a rounded toe and I absolutely love that this pattern is customizable. I knit socks for 5 or 6 individuals, including myself and this allows me to input my total stitches and gauge for each person and yarn. This allows me to finish a sock with confidence without trying it on the intended recipient. Thank you for sharing this with fellow sock knitters.
I have been looking for a clear and understandable round toe pattern since I am usually a visual learner and I think I finally found a good pattern

Thank you so much for sharing this!
An invaluable tool for any sock knitter…
Will be using this again and again.
Hi Aileen! Thank’s for your feedback. Glad to hear that the pattern is helpful!
This tutorial is so helpful. An issue I am having, though, in making my first pair of socks with German shirt rows, is that I keep finding dropped stitches when I come back to a spot where I have worked a ds. I think I have everything down about the technique EXCEPT working the ds properly. Any idea what I might be doing wrong?
I’m glad to hear that my pattern was helpful! The problem with the double stitches might be that you are not knitting through both legs of the double stitch. I think this video from Purl Soho is very useful. Take a look if you are doing the double stitches as they advise.
